TheBavarian Beer Drinker (ES2003) Nutcracker was the fourth in the SteinbachCollector\'s Club Nutcracker Series. This jolly Bavarian fellow is a traditionalfigure from German history. Bavaria is the largest state in the FederalRepublic of Germany and has always been the center of German art and craftsmanship.Descendants of medieval craftsman, in the area, to this day still produce itemssuch as cuckoo clocks, Christmas toys and other handiwork products. The city ofMunich in Bavaria is home of the famous Oktoberfest, a sixteen day festivalwhich attracts tourists worldwide. In histraditional lederhosen with authentic suspenders and a green felt hat, theBavarian Beer Drinker is a picture of merriment for Oktoberfest. As a symbol ofGerman heritage and folklore, the Bavarian Beer Drinker nutcracker is a perfectchoice for the mini club in 1999.
