This whistle came off of a Mississippi River steam boat boat, Jupiter, which navigated the River from around 1902 till around 1957 when it was retired. It is brass and steel and weighs approx. 80lbs. It is operable with air pressure, however, I do not have a valve. As you can see from the pictures it is large and it's sound is very loud. I have blown it once with 150lbs of air pressure. It can be heard from over a mile. It would make a great addition for a collector or as a working whistle on a steam tractor.It could be shipped by freight, but I don't know how much it would cost to crate it and ship it.
