Estate Find- Star Boston SS Atlantic Commemorative Ship’s Compass 1905. Compass made by Star Boston (1905-1969) commemorating the SS Atlantic from the White Star Line which sank in Halifax County on 4/1/1873. A memorial was erected in 1905 in Sandy Cove, Nova Scotia. I am not sure if this was made in 1905 or if it just bears the date of the memorial. I have seen a few of these come up at sale and none are clear as to that. The N triangle is a little wonky with odd squiggly but I have noticed the others have this as well. The item needs calibrating as the N is a tad off. The box is in excellent condition but there is one spot noted and circled in red that may be from an old sticker. Rim is signed Star Boston No 18586 . Approx 6” x 6” x 4 1/2” . Sold As Is
