Hello, up for sale is a early sample from the St. Joe\'s zinc mine in Fowler, St. Lawrence County, New York State. The label is a old store receipt (see photo) that identifies that it fluoresces pink (which is a patch of tremolite in a horseshoe shape that is located on the left side of the first photo). I did see this tremolite with my old uv lamp under sw/ lw along with some small patches of FL orange/ blue Sphalerite ore.The main golden brown Sphalerite did not show any fluorescent response, but slight response from the gray sphalerite. Sorry this is not a spectacular fluorescent example from the up state New York area, but a very nice sample of zinc ore from the Northern New york mining area.
The ore sample is approx. 3in (7.62cm) x 3in (7.62cm) x 2in (5.08cm) in thickness.
