Four bars to three different Spanish campaign medals: 1)Santiago De Cuba 3 Julio De 1898; original silver-gilt bronze bar, 35 x 8 mm, for the Medal of Cavite and Santiago deCuba (see Pascual, Juan L. Calvo. Cruces y Medallas 1807-1987 (no date) pp. 71-72, #226; see also Gonzales,Luis and Perez, Jose Luis Calvo. CondecoracionesMilitares Espanolas (no date) pp. 197-198, 376). The medal is rare, as arethe bars. The medal was created by royal decree in 1923 for surviving veteransof the battle of Santiago during the Spanish-American War. 2) 1890-1891; original gold-gilt bronze bar,35 x 3 mm, for the Medal for Mindanao1890-1891 and 1894-1895 (see Pascual,Juan L. Calvo. Cruces y Medallas1807-1987 (no date) pp. 70-71 , #220; see also Gonzales, Luis and Perez,Jose Luis Calvo. CondecoracionesMilitares Espanolas (no date) pp. 177, 365). The medal was created by royaldecree in 1895 for army and navy personnel that served in Mindanao during thevarious Philippines campaigns. 3) Seo De Urgel; original silver bar, 32 x4 mm, for the Medal ofDistinction of Alfonso XII (see Pascual,Juan L.
