You are offerding on a large, very rareoriginal antique print from an 1870s French illustrated journal.

It depicts a python attacking a rabbit at the Jardin des Plantes, whichis the main botanical garden in France. It is one of seven departments of the Muséum national d\'histoire naturelle. It is situated in the 5ème arrondissement, Paris, on the left bank of the river Seine and covers 28 hectares (280,000 m²).

It is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture measures 9 x 8.25 inches, with a Frenchcaption below. There is unrelated text above and below, which could be trimmed for framing.

The caption reads: Le Python au Jardin des Plantes
which roughly translates to: Python at the Jardins des Plantes
