up for sale is an original vintage gelatin silver print from the German photographer Siegfried Enkelmann (1905-1978). Siegfried Enkelmann is considered the leading dance photographer of the 1940s thru the 60s in Germany. Prints of his iconic images have been sold at Christie’s (London), Lempertz (Cologne), Chayette & Cheval Paris for as much as $1700 (Source: Artnet)

It is possible that this artwork was never published. According to Enkelmann’s nomenclature this photomontage was created in the late1930s, or at least the photographs were taken at that time. Considering how extremely dangerous it was to create politically critical artwork in Nazi Germany it is likely that Enkelmann created this photomontage only after the fall of the Nazi regime.
Siegfried Enkelmann’s most commonly used print format was 9.5“ x 12“ (24 x 30 cm) All prints that were sold on sales for up to $1700 were 9.5“ x 12\". This featured print is 20“ x 24“ in size, which is exeedingly rare for this photographer, but also uncommonly large for a vintage gelatin silver print from this time.
