This Complete antique 12 deck Whist cards without jokers ( offer Whist can be played without jokers) and case was purchased from the Siegel chain of stores in New York: " The Big Store" in 1905. The Decks are in very good condition without tears, bends or folds. Comes with 12 original holders. It features pictures of the family Department Stores. The Ace of Spades has a color ad in the center for Hazel Pure Food Company, Chicago. "Hazel Foods are Pure." The Siegel chain of stores first department store, was built in Chicago in 1887. The Big Store in New York was built in 1896. It was the first steel framed department store in New York and was the largest department store in the world at that time eventually employing over 3000 people. The Boston Store was built in 1905.
