Third, slot the chord into the smallslit in the base of the lamp, this will allow the lamp to sit flush. If you need to remove the bulb/socket, gentlypull on the chord until you can reach at least one prong, press on the prongwhich should allow the entire piece to slide out. Some notes on the material: This fibrous crystal has natural fissures andfibers running through it - it can look like 'veins' running through thematerial. This can give the appearance of damage - it is not - it is verynormal for selenite. Selenite can have minor inclusions so the odd speck, darkmark or minor discoloration may be visible.
