Up for your consideration is a Scarce 19th century gas light 3 piece glass candle with the matching glass ruffled bobeche in the dark cranberry color. One bobeche and two candle sconces (one cranberry and the other off white or cream). So scarce that I have never seen one before and I cannot find a single one for sale on or anywhere else. The candle has three faint seams, so would seem to be either molded or mold-blown. The bobeche is clear glass with white glass cased on the inside while the candle is yellow satin glass on the outside and cased white on the inside. The exterior colored overlay has a spiral effect. These appear to be hand blown. The candle measures 4 9/16\" tall with a base of 1\" while the top has an opening of 3/4\" across. The bobeche measures 4 1/2\" across from ruffle to ruffle, has a height of 1 1/2\" and the center opening is 1 1/4\". In excellent antique condition. There base if the cranberry candle has a chip and has been repaird up to the middle of the candle but is structurally sound. When used, though, the chip does not show. The off white or cream candle is free from any issues. The bobeche is excellent throughout - no chips or damage on the ruffled edge. No cracks and all are structurally solid.
