Here's a beautiful 1955 Stromberg-Carlson Clock Radio for your consideration. I couldn't find another like this anywhere. Stromberg-Carlson is well known for its quality products and this clock radio is no exception.The silent-running clock has been cleaned and lubed and keeps perfect time. The radio picks up many stations with its internal antenna, and the weak electronic components have been replaced, including the wax capacitors. All the external features—copper-toned clock face with gold numbers, small gold clock knobs, gold metal speaker grill, gold station selector knob and on/off knob with gold inserts, and deep ivory cabinet complement each other wonderfully. They're all original, by the way, as is the back and handy schematic and parts list printed on a gold label on the bottom.Look over the pictures carefully to make sure the condition of the radio is acceptable to you. They offer a better external description than I could. There are no cracks or chips, just a couple light scratches and nicks, hardly noticeable. I've listened to AM hockey games, football games, and talk shows. To set the alarm, pull the Alarm Set knob out. This is another radio I wouldn't mind keeping for myself, but my wife will like it much better when it's sold. Please don't mess with the electronics unless you're experienced working on vintage radios due to the presence of high voltages. You probably won't need to for quite a while with this one, anyway, since the tubes and electronics are now in good shape. I'll take special care packing the clock radio for shipping, but since it's old, I can't guarantee anything other than it was working when packed.
