Here is a superbly rare and unique Scapolite var. Wernerite formerly from the Defunct Jersey City Museum and K Nash collections. The largest crystal is roughly 2cm on the left side of the piece with embedded crystals throughout. It should be noted that the species Wernerite doesn’t exist according to the IMA however mindat recognizes it as an intermediate member between Marialite and Meionite “ that is worthy of species status” This specimen dated to at least 1961 and likely dates far before that. A super rare cabinet piece for those who collect NYC minerals
