Participants wear the characteristic costume of the place of origin, often enriched with well-kept embroideries and filigree jewels. Ittiri is a comune in the Province of Sassari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 160 kilometres northwest of Cagliari and about 15 kilometres south of Sassari.
