Located at the end of the Brittannia Terrace in North Yorkshire's Saltburn-on-the Sea, the Alexandra Hotel was built on a site laid out by George Dickinson for the Saltburn Improvement Company. It was constructed of painted white firebrick with sandstone ashlar dressing. It had a coated Welsh slate roof with bands of fish scale, brick chimneys, and iron railings. The hotel opened in 1867 with 100 rooms. It closed on Christmas Day 1973 (after serving Christmas Dinner) and was converted into apartments. For sale, pastel lithograph vintage postcard depicting a frontal view of The Alexandra. At 4" x 6", the postcard is larger than average. It was a Frith "Vistachrome" Natural Color Production and is unposted. Light age related wear: slight edge wear; modest toning; small stain at top right corner of back side; good+Don't be shy; give it a try. Doc deals!
