St. Augustine, one of the Latin Fathers of the Church and in Roman Catholicism, is formally recognized as a doctor of the church. A significant Christian thinker who\'s adaptation of classical thought to Christian teaching created a theological system of great power and lasting influence.Rev.: B. RIT. D. CA. (Beatus Rita of Cascia)
\"B.\" stands for Beatus (meaning blessed in Latin) the title attributed to someone in the first stage, beatification, before declared officially a Saint. Pope Leo XIII canonized Saint Rita on 24 May 1900, so I assume the medallion is before that.
At her canonization ceremony, she was bestowed the title of \"Patroness of Impossible Causes,\" while in many Catholic countries, Rita came to be known as the patroness of abused wives and heartbroken women.Authentic Bronze medallion in excellent condition.
