SURVIVOR ELECTRICIANS KNIFE, VINTAGE 1-Blade: It was made in someone's spare time at home, from a knife that had failed on the job. This piece is a smorgasbord of what is leftover when a TL-29 goes "bluey". The tradesman-turned-hobbyist did the best he could from the most usable parts of the old knife. The frame is moderately solid and mostly square and the liner-lock was kept. The screwdriver blade was sharpened to do double duty (I don't know why that wasn't done on the original concept). And the wood handles probably indicate origin between the World Wars; a plastic called "phenolic" or "Bakelite" was mostly used after the 1930s, in part because of its electrical non-conductivity. The back handle is missing its bolster and nowhere is there an identifier of manufacture. Yes, you could take it to work but why explain to co-workers why you just didn't buy a new knife.
