Here is a fantastic combo featuring schorl tourmaline with smoky quartz and daylight fluorescent hyalite opal from Erongo, Namibia. The tourmaline are well formed, and the main crystal is quite substantial in size. The hyalite opal on this piece covers a generous amount of surface area and has even completely coated a few crystals on the side! You can see several of the photos the forms of both the smoky quartz and tourmaline that have been enveloped by the hyalite. The hyalite is fluorescent in daylight without the need for a UV light, although the fluorescence is stronger with a UV light.
