SUPERB Pair of 19th. CENTURY GILT METAL PICTURE STRUT FRAMES

with ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPHS

Thisis a stunning good quality pair of period pierced picture strut frames designedin the rococo taste which date, I would guess, from the late 19th. Century. Ingood heavy guage gilded cast metal they are depicted as ornate rococo foliate strutframes with beautifully realised pierced decorated borders of sinuous vines andleaves surrounding the inner beaded rectangular glazed frames which house niceperiod photographs of two young girls, to one and (I presume) their mother tothe other. While the reverse of each has an easel strut and a retailer\'s tradeplate to the photographs.

Theymeasure 9\" (23cm) h x 6\" (15cm) w (at the base) approx; and are inexcellent condition with no defect at all to report apart from needing a clean(I usually use silver dip which brings them up quite well, but unfortunately I\'mout of it at the moment) - see photographs and details.

Thisis a beautiful pair of period 19th. Century rococo picture frames in excellentoriginal condition that with a low start price should interest all collectors.
