You are offerding on a set of SUPER B educational comics, made in 1977 by DC Comics and Warner Educational Service for SRA. This was a set of comics and teacher curriculum made to promote \"motivational reading\" in schools for readers in grade level 4. Super B was the set made after Super A. What do you get? Well you get the box (in very worn condition with a tear at one of the box top corners), the Teacher\'s Manual. the complete set of 48 Task Cards, and copies of magazines 1-4 (32 in total). You get 7 copies of issue 1, 8 copies of issue 2, 9 copies of issue 3, and 8 copies of issue 4. The books have some wear, but no writing inside them. They also have some bends to them from the way they were stored over the decades. Please check the photos and shoot me a message if you have any questions. What is missing? It originally came with 10 copies of each of the 4 issues, so it is missing 8 copies of the issues. It is also missing a poster, and a set of 40 Activity Cards.
The magazines contain stories that appear to be from existing published DC comics, with alterations to the art made by Joe Kubert\'s studio to change the stories to fit the curriculum. There are also what seem to be new stories drawn by Joe Kubert- especially the one with the DC character made specifically for this series (and the Kubert DC Dictionary)- CONJURA. Plus new \"how to draw\" back covers by Joe Kubert.
And yes there is a little bit of a musty old comics smell to the set.
