From its humble beginnings in their Pacific Palisades, California, garage, Jack and Ruth Hirsch grew their upstart pottery company into one of the most important purveyors of art ceramics in the midcentury period and beyond.

Eventually incorporating a host of notable artists and visionaries, their pieces feature in many important collections and even appear on the reigning visual reference to the era, “ Mad Men.”

These sinuous, imposing ( 16”) candle sconces, dated 1993, are iconic examples of the Deco Revival movement of the late 80s / early 90s. Their grand scale, sweeping lines and lush, organic form typify both the company and the era.

The sconces are in pristine condition with no chips, cracks, crazing , fading or staining. They are marked both with an incised signature and a paper tag. The pieces display beautifully and will elevate any collection or interior. The distinctive pair ships USPS Ground Advantage from Los Angeles.
