Started with a Stanley sweetheart 101 stripped the body then removed the thumb slot on the toe so the knob could sit flat on the body. I left the raise nub on the heal this helps keep the tote in place. Tote has a grooved out area for it to fit in then on the front of the tote its notched so that it fits into the cutter rails which again help keep the tote in place. Tote and knob are made from vintage rosewood. The barrel nuts on the top of each one are Stanley barrel nuts that I resized to fit there just cosmetic. Tote and knob are held in place with a brass counter sunk screw coming up through the sole. Tote has a Stanley emblem on it its been down sized to fit. The cutter is the original sweetheart cutter which has been lapped and sharpened. The lever cap was made from a piece of the sole from a type 10 no.5 I cut out a small section from behind the frog that had the march and august patent stamp. cap reads mar-2 & aug-1 that's all that I could get to fit on the small cap. The tension screw comes from a Stanley 48 which was shortened and retreaded. I do my best to always repurpose vintage plane parts to make my conversions this make these hand made planes one of a kind. Every mini plane I have made has had its own characteristics.
