Antique Staffordshire Pearlware Bacchus Satyr Face Jug Pitcher 19th c. We are pleased to offer from our personal collection this antique Staffordshire Pearlware Bacchus Satyr Face Jug / Pitcher. The painted face is in superb condition with only minimal amount of wear. The jug is all original with no restorations. One of the few found with a beautiful over-glaze enamel painted face, goatee, eyes, brows, ears, horns, teeth, and grape wreath. The tree trunk knobs behind the face are painted with multi colors of iron red, yellow, green and purple along with grey to black \"bark\" motifs between. Please take the time to carefully examine all the photographs for more details. Contact seller if you have any questions or if you require additional photographs for inspection. The pitcher stands approximately 5-1/4 inches high to the top of the spout. It measures approximately 6 inches from the end of the handle to the tip of the Satyr\'s nose and approximately 4 inches side to side. Please remember you are buying an antique ceramic piece. Some early production faults exist as expected. It has been previously used over the years, so it will show signs of wear from previous use or display. BOX#2
