DESCRIPTION: This real-photo postcard shows \"Main St., Spiceland, Ind.\" Businesses line both sides of the dirt street. On the left, a small group of people stand in front of a building with signage (under magnification, see the third photo) reading \"I. & E. Ry. Station\" (Indiana & Eastern Railway). In the middle of the street a small group of people in the roadway wait to board an interurban streetcar lettered \"Indianapolis / Greenfield / Richmond / New Castle\" on the front (again, under magnification; see the last photo). The storefront next to the interurban office is identified as the Central Meat Market. On the right side of the street is a Keen Kutter sign, and in the background is one for a blacksmith. Spiceland (population 890) is located in Henry County.
