GL08 Major Karl Rammelt Knight\'s Cross of the Iron Cross hand signed 5 x 7 black and white photograph

Each photo measures 5\" by 7\" with a white border on all sides with the signature handsigned on the specially elongated bottom margin.
The photograph is from the 1939-1945 period and has been reproduced and then signed by Major Karl Rammelt Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross. The photo is accompanied by a brief career history.
This signed photo forms part of a limited edition of Iron Crosses of the Luftwaffe signed Photograph Series. This is number 08 in the series of 25 Photographs so far issued, produced by ourselves. Each photograph has been handsigned and they are all numbered and certified on the reverse. Each photograph is a limited edition of 210.

Major Karl Rammelt Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross

Born 10.06.1914 Nebra/Sachsen
RK 24.10.1944 with 41 victories
From 1934 until 1940 a technician with the Personal der Luftwaffe. On 20 May 1942 with the rank of Oberleutnant he was posted to join II/JG 51 \'Mölders\' in Russia. In February 1943 he became Staffelkapitän of 4/JG 51. From March 1943 he was Kommandeur II/JG 51 and he and his unit flew missions in North Africa, Italy and the Balkans. His Knight’s Cross was awarded on 24 October 1944, quoting over 40 victories. Unfortunately, during the Christmas period of 1944 he was seriously wounded in aerial combat.
Total of 46 Victories, of which 11 were 4 engined bombers and 20 on the Eastern Front. (14 further victories unwitnessed).
A total of 450 combat missions (including many low-level operations).
