Note: Statements of editions and dates in my listings should not be regarded as conclusive. In many, or even most, cases, it isn't possible to make definitive statements on such matters. For instance, if a book says 1879 on the title page, it may have been published in a different year, like 1878. And even if 1879 is widely regarded as the date of the "first edition," that does not necessarily mean that a specific example with that date is a first edition.
You are offerding on:
One copy of Sleight of Hand, by Edwin T. Sachs, L. Upcott Gill, "Third Edition," 1900 on title page. Based on the ads, I think this copy was probably bound in 1902 (or so), and maybe even printed then, since I see what I presume to be a 12/02 date on the index to the ads (or catalog) at the back.
This isn't a perfect copy, but may be the best of the three "1900" examples in my collection.
This example has a number of minor miscellaneous problems. The worst thing is probably the front interior-hinge, which is split and kind of rough. The rear interior-hinge is cracked, but it's pretty much in place.The front cover has and obvious mark (I think the color is gone), and the back cover has scratches or the like. There is some wear at the top and bottom of spine, and elsewhere, but it doesn't seem serious. There is also some minor foxing, but overall this is a decent example.
