I am listing a complete and quite nice set of jaws from a medium Seven-gill Shark (Notorhynchus cepedianus).
This species has little calcium in the jaws, but it has been dried without the usual sagging and twisting. The unique
dentition is great with all tooth positions accounted for, and nearly all teeth in perfect condition. It comes with a tag listing all of
its biological data to make it a RESEARCH GRADE specimen. Identifications were made on the actual fresh specimens, and
not a guesstimate on separated dried jaws from a curio shop. This is one of the few opportunities to get a nice specimenof this uncommon species in excellent condition. This specimen was obtained (commercial fishery salvage) for my research
and teaching collection several decades ago. This is definitely a one-of-a-kind specimen that is rarely ever offered, particularly with its excellent dentition.
