A 5 1/2 inch tall (to top of stopper) clear-glass square-shaped antique AUGUST SCHILLING CO. S.F. CALIFORNIA bottle that came filled withVANILLA EXTACT.This antique bottle is EMBOSSED, has two ORIGINAL PAPER LABELS, and still has its original uniqueGLASS STOPPERthat is debossed with a cross, the unique Schilling\'s Company trade mark. This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating way over 100 years old.

Bottle Embossed: \"S B\" (for Schilling\'sBest) and the base is embossed, \"A. SCHILLING & CO. / 2 OZ. / NET\".
Condition: This bottle is in good condition. It has some traces of age wear/haze, but NO cracks, chips, dings, damage, etc. Stopper and labels are in likewise condition. Please see pictures for best idea of bottle, labels and stopper overall An ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand-blown bottle (Blown-In-Mold = BIM) with a tooled-top, ca. late 1800s - early 1900s.

A rare find, a schillings bottle in this ALL-ORIGINAL condition, all the way down to the glass cross stopper! The S. B. that is embossed on this bottle stands for Schilling\'s Best, after August Schillings who in 1881 San Francisco started the A. Schilling Co. It then became the Schillings Spice Co. , and in 1946 merged into McCormick & Company. Since then, McCormick has continued to sell spices under the Schilling brand name, mainly in the western United States. What\'s rare and particularly great about this bottle is that it comes with the original labels AND the original glass stopper. The glass stoppers that came on these original Schillings bottles have an embossed cross on them, not the embossed fleur di lis like you commonly see on this style of glass stopper. The bottles with labels are hard to find, and one that is topped off with the ORIGINAL glass stopper is near impossible to find, check it out!
