This is a very scarce 1863 hardcover first edition history of the life and career of Confederate General T. J. \"Stonewall\" Jackson by Markinfield Addey. See photo for title page. This is probably ex library, as tape covers lower and upper portions of the spine. Covers generally very good. Some evidence of moisture along edges of front and rear endpages, but little deterioration evident. Text very good. Rear hinge shows an interior open crack that does not affect binding. There is a crack at outside upper portion of rear hinge, but hinge appears otherwise solid. Spot of wear? on front cover. 7 1/2\" x 5 1/4\". 240 pages. Overall a fairly good copy of a scarce title.
