Beautiful vintage handcrafted sake set purchased in Japan between 1960 and 1990. There are two decanter // pourers, both made of two different colored clays kneaded together. The glaze is clear to reveal the resultant variegated pattern. The decanters and all five sakazuki-style low bowl-shaped sake cups has the kanji for alcohol / sake hand painted with a brush, with a different colored glaze for each character. This set has never been used. Sake bottles are sold without corks, as intended. If there is leftover sake, you are meant to place one of the sake cups upside down on top, or just finish it off! Each bottle is 4.5 inches high. Comes in original gift box, also adorned with the 酒 kanji.
