Russian Cross of the Council of Cossacks Troops of Murmansk (VSKM).

In copper, measures40.0 mm tall (incl. eyelet), 31.4 mm wide. The obverse shows the Russianacronym ВСКМ ( Войсковой Союз Казаков Мурманска ) and the date 1992, the year of thefounding of the organization.

This is believed to bean original piece issued by the organization of the Cossacks of Murmansk Region(a norther Russian port city on the Kola Peninsula). Founded in 1992, theorganization includes adult residents of Kola area who are direct descendantsof the Cossacks, mainly from Kuban and Don Regions, and also few people whohave significantly contributed to the Cossack movement. In 1994, it was renamedthe Council of Cossack Troops of Murmansk. Reportedly, there were under 400members as of 1994.

The cross is inexcellent condition and comes on correct suspension, with regulation ribbon ofRussian national flag.
