This is a rare print by Master Northwest Coast First Nations artist Roy Henry Vickers. Titled \'An Old Eagle\' and numbered 6/50, this piece is so evocative of the Pacific Northwest. Only fifty of these were ever made. Two aging totem poles age in the rain: a vision of timelessness and history. This print comes framed but can also be shipped out of the glass on request. Framed it measures 27 inches by 20 inches.Roy Henry Vickers is a well-known and celebrated Tsimshian artist known for his prints and carvings. He names Gitksan artist Vernon Stephens as an influence. Roy is a past president of the Northwest Coast Indians Artist’s Guild. In 1972, Roy trained at the Gitanmaax School of Northwest Indian Art at \'Ksan in Hazelton, BC. In 1986, he built his own gallery, Eagle Aerie, in Tofino, BC. A year later, in 1987, his original painting A Meeting of Chiefs was presented to Queen Elizabeth II as the province of BC\'s official gift at the Commonwealth Summit in Vancouver, BC. In 1993, a serigraph titled The Homecoming was presented to former US president, Bill Clinton, and former Soviet leader, Boris Yeltsin, at the Vancouver Summit. His work was also represented at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria, BC, in 1994. Roy received the Order of British Columbia in 1998, and the Queen\'s Jubilee Medal in 2003.
