Original antique patterned rolled cloth from Germany around 1900/1920.
It is made of cream-white pattern-woven half-linen with a white depiction of a housewife washing laundry in the tub and a second oneHousewife hanging up the washed laundry in the garden.This image is woven into both sides.At the edge there is a blue woven border with the box iron and garlands.
The lettering “roll cloth” is woven into the top and bottom edges.
Approximate size: 79 cm wide and 184 cm long. 31 inches wide and 72 inches long.The condition is very good.Roll cloths were used to smooth out the house linen.The laundry was wrapped around rolling pins and then rolled in the ironer. To protect the laundry, it was wrapped in the rolling cloth.This piece is now ideal as a tablecloth, table runner, wall runner, mural or curtain.Standard International Shipping by Airmail.
