Two very different tropical hardwood beach finds here. One, a swirling, textured bit of sun bleached rootwood, light as a feather. The other, an imposing block of substantial heartwood, rock hard and smooth as butter. Each piece working together to instill a sense of organic power to this one of a kind smoking tool.

All these elements tapering to a NOS French mouthpiece, attached with a 1940s vintage metal ferrule.

Please don\'t ask what type of wood the bowl is fashioned from. It\'s not that I don\'t want to say...because I would love to be able to tell you. But the reality is that when walking the Atlantic facing coast of Puerto Rico, the aged hardwoods I find could be from anywhere...altered by sun, sand and salt. I once found the sprawling root mass of a rosewood tree from the central mountains of Africa...covered with decade old oyster shells. (Yes, I did bring a portion of that treasure back to the farm).

The point is that the woods are a bit of a mystery to me. I test any wood, thoroughly by smoking dozens of times with a simple test pipe...one of my more enjoyable tasks on the farm.

I have gotten off track a bit here. In summary...Custom Tobacco Pipe, unique styling, mysterious hardwood, unlimited possibilities.
