This restored Craftsman (made for Sears), Boy Scout pattern camp hatchet has a very deep Craftsman stamping. The hatchet head has been polished and refinished, with all significant scratches removed, and the hatchet head polished. The head is full length, and sharpened for immediate use. There are NO dings or marks to the back of the hatchet head, the back is perfect, and polished.The handle is perfect, original to the hatchet, with decorated, painted end. There are no cracks in the handle, which has been epoxied and wood wedged to the hatchet head.
This hatchet is gorgeous in appearance, a museum specimen which showcases early, fine tool craftsmanship. The Craftsman brand was used by Sears Roebuck and Company. No doubt the best example on .
