Reliquary with 1st class (ex oss.) relic anddocumentof: \"St. Joan of France, Duchess of Berry\" A very rare find! The reliquary is all brass, it stands 15 1/4\" ht. Together with original document dated c.1825 (see all photos) An ultra rare one of a kind find! Joan of France(French:Jeanne de France, Jeanne de Valois; 23 April 1464 – 4 February 1505) was brieflyQueen of Franceas wife of King Louis X!!,in between the death of her brother, King Charles VIII,and theannulmentof her marriage. After that, she retired to her domain, where she soon founded the monastic Order of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary,where she served asabbess.From this Order later sprang thereligious congregationof the Apostolic Sisters of the Annunciation, founded in 1787 to teach the children of the poor. She wascanonizedon 28 May 1950.
