This listing is for a Rare BB BUTT BALTO Antique Solid Cast Iron pair of EAGLES Figural BOOT SCRAPER Primitive. Featuring two imposing American Eagles on either end of the base, and a scraper in remarkable condition. It has a great design with much of its original paint intact. I believe it to be from the late 19th Century, or early 20th Century (approx 1880s-1910s). It is marked BB on the top of the base in a corner, for Butt & Balto of MD; an extremely desired maker. It requires new brushes, but these likely would be easy to source. You could cut a broom topper in half and affix the halves as well. Sourced between Pittsburgh & Butler PA, it possibly came from one of fabulous mansions that used to dot the area. This quality antique is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of decor styles. It makes this an excellent staple piece for your collection, one your friends definitely won’t have! A great collectors item, for use display gifting or decor.

It is in good condition, with no major damage. I have cleaned it to remove the heavy grime of age, but have not wholly removed its patina. Buyer could display it as is, or completely strip & re paint if that is preferred. Has some patina, and appropriate wear for its age & use, see photos.
