Up for sale is this incredibly rare Bronze Plaque of The Lamentation of Christ.. The piece is not dated or signed but is exactly like one in the Detroit Institute of Art attributed to Benvenuto Cellini 1500-1571. I have been a bronze collector for over 30 years and have had many quality bronze plaques from the top artist\'s but none like this one. The detail is exquisite, the patina perfect and undisturbed and the casting at it\'s best. Look at the reverse side of the plaque and see how incredible it is. This was purchased in Italy by me from an old Italian collector years ago. The plaque measures 7 5/8\" tall and 5 3/4\" wide. You won\'t find a nicer Antique bronze plaque anywhere!
