8X10 Vintage original sepia portrait photograph of Ramon Grau in his last year as President of Cuba. Signed in white ink, \"Al Sr? Jimmy Wiggins, Contentieamento R. Grau, 1948.\" Some light creasing to the lower left and right portions of the photograph, otherwise excellent.
(1881-1969) Ramón Grau San MartÃan was a Cuban physician who served as President of Cuba from 1933 to 1934 and from 1944 to 1948. He was the last president other than an interim president, Carlos Manuel Piedra, born during Spanish rule. He is sometimes called Raymond Grau San Martin in English.
This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70-plus years. He obtained his collection either in person or by writing to persons of fame and notoriety.
