This scarce real photo postcard features the flooding experienced from torrential rains in Haverhill NH in the spring of 2023. My online Facebook friends helped confirm the location based on an annual report from the town. I\'ve included the screenshots of that report, but no actual document comes with the postcard - this is for provenance only. The report mentions a payment of $34.75 to HE Merchant for cleaning out flood wood. Another item mentions the torrential rains that inundated the town and washed out the bank that runs to the pump house.
Also very interesting - the sender says \"Got the boys here safely (?) and showers. To-day snow on the mts and getting snow and hail in the valley\". This was sent to the Historical Records Survey in Manchester NH; appears to be reporting on weather and significant events.
Posted. Edge and corner wear consistent with a vintage postcard.
