An Elaborate and Regal Queen Victoria 2 page Programme for a Buckingham Palace Musical Evening held on Wednesday, 5th June 1872.

This extremely elegant 9.75 × 7.75 inch 2 page programme has an exquisite paper lace embossed floral border which is the work of Master Embossers Ortner & Houle of 8 St. James's St. London S.W., and their embossed mark is seen at the top of the programme.

The central panel has a purple printed heading ‘Buckingham Palace' above a magnificent embossed gold gilt, navy blue and red Queen Victoria Royal Coat of Arms, below which is set out the evening's musical performances, which were conducted by Queen Victoria's 'Master of the Queen's Musick' (official Victorian spelling of Music), Sir William George Cusins.

Among the treats for the evening’s entertainment include the William Tell Overture by Rossini, a Chorus of Dervishes by Beethoven, and other selections by Verdi, Donizetti, Meyerbeer, concluded by GOD SAVE THE QUEEN. Please see photos for exact condition on this spectacular example of fine Victorian ephemera. Note minor foxing and a crease visible at the back and faintly visible on the front.
