For sale is a rare and magnificent collectible: the Theo Fabergé St. Vladimir Egg, part of the esteemed St. Petersburg Collection. This exceptional piece, numbered 169 out of only 500 produced worldwide, is a testament to Fabergé's mastery in commemorating the millennium of Russian Orthodox Christianity. Crafted with exquisite hand-cut crystal, this Egg features opulent burgundy enamel adorned with elaborate silver patterns. Its crowning glory is a vermeil dome, surmounted by a sterling silver Russian Orthodox cross. Inside, it unveils a meticulously detailed sterling silver replica of St. Vladimir's Cathedral, a historic site in Kiev. The Egg is further embellished with a sterling silver disc, inscribed in Church Slavonic with "988...Tysyacheletie Kreshcheniya Rus' 1988", celebrating a thousand years since 988. This particular Egg gained fame as the cover photo of Theo Fabergé's book, highlighting its status as one of his most stunning creations.

Condition: Amazing condition for a 36 year old piece. This piece has been boxed away and hasn’t seen light in decades. This Egg is signed by Theo Faberge on the underside along with number 169 and was retired 34 years ago, Eggs in this condition with all of the boxes and paperwork rarely come up for sale.
