This card is a very early Real Photo Post Card (RPPC) of pioneers or settlers on the roof of their log cabin in the snow. That is the obvious and you also probable know what are RPPC\'s are but for those that do not..... In 1902 Kodak started an era of Real Photo Post Cards. In that year, they offered a preprinted card back that allowed postcards to be made directly form negatives. In 1903 they introduced the \"2A Folding Pocket Kodak\". The camera, designed for postcard-sized film, allowed the general public to take photographs and have them printed on postcard backs as standard vintage postcards. Anyone could immortalizetheir love ones, homes and towns and RPPC\'s became very popular. In 1907, Kodak introduced a service called \"RealPhoto Postcards\", hence the name official, which enabled postcards to be made from any photo taken. It is said, not proven, that no other single format has provided such a massivephoto history of America, particularlyof small-town and rural America. I would imagine that that is true.
There is no indication of who, what, where or when on this card except that is a divided back (after 1907) and has a CYKO stamp box used between 1904 - 1920 The card shows it\'s age with one corner missing and another bent. It is soiled front and back and has a pin hole top middle. It is however history. (Please see the scan for details.)
