Rare and very interesting pair of bedside lamps manufactured by Maison Jumo, France.
This striking design echoes Jumo\'s signature French modernist style, featuring a distinctive \"U\" column and a wide weighted foot. The centerpiece is a captivating, large, fluted Bakelite ring.
- This lamp design has a patented rotary switch in black bakelite (the black bakelite ring around the base) which lights up 1 bulb with one turn, then 2 bulbs with a further turn as seen in the photos. This bakelite switching ring can be used as a dimmer for normal bulbs which is genious.
They are heavy, quality lamps that you can tell from the robust construction when handling them. With their unique design, they are an interesting and intriguing acquisition for collectors of Jumo and design in general.
Rewired with black luxury rayon cord.
These take any drum shade you prefer.
Condition:These have NO damage to the bodies. Chrome in great vintage condition. Some patination. The white painted portion has patiation and wear consistent with age.
