As far as vintage Danish Modern teak cutting boards go, this would have to be considered the \'deluxe model.\' It\'s simply gorgeous and has ultra-modern lines that take the form of a surfboard, alien spacecraft, fish or other species of fauna, all at the same time. There are two inlaid, cast iron charcoal circles that have more decorative appeal than function, set into the staved, joined teak wooden boards of the cutting board\'s facia, alluding to a species of fauna, namely a fish or animal. It was clearly a statement piece on behalf of Digsmed Denmark and a design intended to stop you in your tracks and seamlessly blend the Minimalist high design of Modernism with the demands of function. In the true Bauhaus tradition, there\'s a thoughtful, well-realized conceptual blending of form and function. This isn\'t pedestrian, lazy Danish Modern design. The board remains untouched, undisturbed and in 100% original vintage condition. Absolutely gorgeous.
