This is a good thumbnail example of the rare sulfosalt, baumhauerite. A group of two very small baumhauerite crystals stand on the white dolomite matrix. The crystals are incomplete and unterminated.
The Lengenbach Quarry is the type locality (site of first discovery) for baumhauerite; one of 48 type localityspecies from this location, known for very rare sulfosalts.
This specimen will be shipped in its plastic display (thumbnail) box.Non permanent mounting allows it to be easily removed.
