-This is a cluster of octahedral pyrite, double side with minimal contact on the bottom, so it sits up nicely on a stand.-Pyrite forms in octahedrons when the sulfur content is high, whereas cubes form when the iron is more present. These octahedrons form less frequently for this reason.- A very striking, and aesthetic piece. Great small cabinet specimen.
