These burr-type or pig sticker Daltons are very rare, although I have heard of a site in Mississippi that produced handfuls of them back in the day. I remember being at the Sweetwater, Tn.. show perhaps 25 years ago and a fellow North Carolina collector, Tommy Beutel, came up to me and show me three or four of them that he had just purchased from a Miss. dealer. I took the opportunity to question the dealer, who told me about the site. Anyway, this example I bought from a man who was selling it and another Dalton his wife had found in the trailer park they were living in somewhere in Illinois. (This is not an uncommon circumstance in Florida, but the only time I have bought trailer park points from Illinois. The point is made of light gray Burlington and is 3 3/16.\"
