This is a very nice majolica Blackamoor match strikerdepicting ayoung woman with a very satisfied smile. It is in excellent condition as I did not find any chip, crack, hairline or repair. The colors are vivid and beautiful.It is marked marked Made in Czechoslovakia. Like almost all of theblackamoor majolica,her face and hands are COLD PAINTED meaning they were not fired in the kiln for technical reasons so that theyhave amatte glaze appearance rather than glossy. Please ask question before purchasing it if you are not familiar with cold paint. Like most antique majolica, it has some crazing and minor discoloration. Please disregard the lighting glares.
