This is an elaborately designed, carved, shaped, refined, and smoothed, 4 lb., granite, rock art sculpture, multi tool: crushing, pounding, knapping, pecking, grinding, etc. Several areas have significant wear patterns exhibiting heavy use as a pecking/knapping tool. Exotically sculpted, but seemingly unfinished; ground and smoothed, this incomplete beauty has evidenced the skilled craftsmanship of ancient North American inhabitants. Truly a great piece with many enigmatic, and cryptically interesting shapes, symbols, and images. Found \"as is\" in West Texas.
