Masterfully sculpted 14 lb., basalt, prehistoric Paleo-American rock art multi-tool. Incredibly sculpted, ground, and super smoothed; the main frontal image suggests an enigmatically cryptic, effigial "alien" appearance. Obvious wear patterns, and hand/finger placement contours imply its use as a hammer, smashing, or grinding tool. It is an amazing example of ancient craftsmanship and artistry; certainly a gift from the antediluvian inhabitants of North America. Found "as is" in East Multnomah County, Oregon near the Columbia River. Thank you for viewing this incredible artifact from the amazing toolmakers in the distant past.
